About Exhibition

　 Sonoko Nukaga was born in 1989, in Kanagawa. She has finished her graduate degree in sculpture at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2015. Nukaga is one of the emerging young artists in Japan. Recently she has participated in 3331 Art Fair 2015 –Various Collectors’ Prizes- and has received Judge’s prize(Akira Tatehata Prize) at Art Award Tokyo Marunouchi 2015.
  Nukaga is seeking her own sculptural expression of human bodies using terracotta, unglazed porcelain clay. One of her key issues is unavoidable contradictions or gaps which we all need to face in order to live as a human being.
  This time she is presenting an installation show by three-dimensional works (terracotta). There are seven works as a whole. We all look forward to seeing you at the exhibition.
